When Erik the director called me he said, “its just a basic rehearsal room we need to build”, “no worries was my reply” he then added, ” except it needs to be built upside down and the band will be hanging upside down”
So although its no so easy to notice for 70% of this clip the band members and the room are actually upside down, we hung snowboards from truss stretching across the set and then fixed the band members in to the snowboard cleats. The drummer and the drum kit proved most problematic.
During the shoot we had to flip the whole set over the right way up for total band shots.
So wherever you see the dancers on the ceiling, they are actually on the floor,with the band members hanging upside down and the frame has been flipped,………confusing what !
