Russian Garden
The most challenging garden to date, the block has a difference in level’s of 5 metres from the back to the front.
I really like this garden and so did the owner’s, the wife was especially pleased as it turned the garden from bush scrub garden with no space, to a cool modern garden with lots of features and separate area’s for entertaining.
Before this transformation the family only spent time on the deck that comes out directly from the back patio doors. The rest of the garden was almost unusable.
The sun shines on the back side all day and has a relaxing feeling wherever you are. The large steps give an almost opulent feeling when walking down them, but they were necessary due to the change in level, the circles and curves also soften the edges of the steps so they are more of a feature, underneath the pool deck we placed a seatainer for storage.
